Gallerie d’Italia in Turin is committed to raising awareness of the visual arts among the young through workshops and courses based on an integrated approach that combines cultural content and digital tools, in line with the educational programmes of the European Commission.
Its dedication to planning specific courses guarantees an education programme in which direct experience is the keyword in an interactive and engaging learning process.
The museum is a permanent educational space focused on photography that is in constant touch with the cultural fabric of the city and the schools of Piedmont.
Its activities are always tailored to the school syllabus and focus on specific themes that encourage reflection on contemporary society. Particular attention is focused on the development of projects to support students with disabilities, to make the museum an accessible and welcoming place for all.
Gallerie d’Italia - Torino also promotes dialogue with the communities and sociocultural partners of the city and region, proposing a calendar of specific events to complement the temporary exhibitions. These themed and multimedia Public Programs are designed to explore the main topic of the exhibitions in various directions, the goal being to expand this hybrid approach to all of the players involved, transforming single events into opportunities for dialogue.
Entry to the museum and participation in the activities is free of charge, though advance booking is required. Please call freephone number 800.167.619, or send an email to torino@gallerieditalia.com to book.
