Advanced Training Course. Naples-Florence. The art of creating exhibitions

Gallerie d'Italia Academy launches a new advanced training course in 2023, conceived and produced with Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi and in collaboration with Digit'Ed. The course, which lasts 36 hours, shares the working models, professional experiences and practical skills of the two institutions in order to offer an innovative training opportunity focusing on the design, production and management of temporary art exhibitions, capitalising on the expertise of Intesa Sanpaolo's Gallerie d'Italia and Palazzo Strozzi.

The aim of this Advanced Training Course is to equip professionals in the sector with the skills necessary for the design, production and management of an exhibition project, analysing the various phases, procedures, skills, activities and professional figures required in detail, from the definition of the concept of an exhibition to its finissage. The multidisciplinary training approach focuses on the development not only of theoretical knowledge, but also of practical and management skills, looking at the subject of exhibition management from an innovative and topical perspective, tackling real-life cases. Participants will have the opportunity to analyse case studies of current exhibitions and will be involved in the set-up activities that are scheduled.

The course, delivered in Italian, consists of three teaching modules, for a total of 36 hours. The course will be held in person in two venues, the Naples branch of Gallerie d'Italia and Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi in Florence. Professor Guido Guerzoni, Professor of Museum Management, Luigi Bocconi University, Milan will be the scientific coordinator of the course.

Applications to take part in the selection process must be submitted between 28 March and 1 May 2023, using the form available on the Digit'Ed website.
