A journey in celebration of Marlon Brando, 100 years after his birth
To mark the centenary of Marlon Brando's birth, the Torino Film Festival and Intesa Sanpaolo's Gallerie d'Italia - Turin intend to offer an immersive experience to celebrate an icon of the film industry, already celebrated with the 42nd edition of the Torino Film Festival (of which Intesa Sanpaolo is the main sponsor) under the initiative of artistic director Giulio Base. The video installation takes visitors on a journey that reveals the evolution of the timeless appeal of the Italian-American star, a symbol of rebellion and transformation.
Visitors will be transported through Brando's life and career, thanks to skilful direction that enhances archive material of immense historical value. The videos, made with photographs from Intesa Sanpaolo’s Publifoto Archive, which is at home in the museum in Turin, alongside old magazines, offer an intimate look at the most iconic moments in the actor's life, lingering on the details of his face and its evolution over time.
