Water chronicles - Images from Northern Italy is a photographic project commissioned in spring 2023 by Gallerie d’Italia di Intesa Sanpaolo from the Cesura team of photographers. It tells the story of the water cycle and its impact on people and places, inspiring thoughts on climate change.
Ten stories following the ideal path of the water cycle, from source to its arrival at the sea, via exploitation in farming and industry, analysing the various forms that water takes.

The project, in collaboration with Green & Blue, a publication of the Gedi publishing group, aims to create long-term memory and turn these stories into manifestos.

The photographic project was presented at the Gallerie d'Italia - Turin on 14 December and the screening will be visible in the immersive room until 18 February 2024.
