Gallerie d’Italia - Turino presents a major exhibition on one of the biggest names on the international photography panorama, Paolo Pellegrin. This unique exhibition is the result of a special commission by Intesa Sanpaolo. The Bank asked the photographer to provide his take, in images, on one of the most important issues facing the modern world: the relationship between man and the natural environment. A project on which the photographer worked for over a year, visiting different parts of the world in search of the traces and the four elements - earth, water, wind and fire - which mankind has studied since the dawn of time, giving them a spiritual value that goes well beyond scientific understanding.
Pellegrin therefore immersed himself in nature in its different forms, identifying its “fragile wonder” - the title of the exhibition and the entire project - as one of its primary and constant characteristics. He sought out and photographed nature at its most sublime, the places and circumstances in which nature is extreme in its power and presence, a tremendous visual and emotional excess that both intrigues and frightens, that forces man to reflect on his role in the world and his relationship with the environment.
