In view of the presence in the exhibition, the Martyrdom of Saint Ursula will not be visible to the public from 22 January 2025.
To celebrate the 2025 Jubilee, the Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica, in collaboration with Galleria Borghese and with the support of the Main Partner Intesa Sanpaolo, presents the Caravaggio 2025 exhibition at Palazzo Barberini, curated by Francesca Cappelletti, from 7 March. Maria Cristina Terzaghi and Thomas Clement Salomon.
The project, one of the most important and ambitious ever dedicated to Caravaggio (1571-1610), with an exceptional number of signed paintings and an itinerary comprising rare works and new discoveries in one of the places that symbolise the connection between the artist and his patrons, sees the presence in the exhibition of the artist's last work, the Martyrdom of St. Ursula, a masterpiece from the Intesa Sanpaolo collections.
