The return of "Martyrdom of Saint Ursula" by Caravaggio to Naples

The work Martyrdom of Saint Ursula by Caravaggio returns to the Gallerie d'Italia in Naples after being the protagonist of the very successful exhibition The Last Caravaggio at the National Gallery in London. The exhibition attracted three hundred thousand people, over three thousand a day, making it the third most visited exhibition for the British museum in the last ten years.

This special exhibition was organised to mark the bicentenary of the prestigious London museum institution. The work is again visible to the public at the Gallerie d'Italia in Naples from 27 July.
