The Last Caravaggio at London’s National Gallery

National Gallery - Londra

From 18 April to 21 July 2024

On the bicentenary of its foundation, London's National Gallery, one of the world's most important and prestigious museum institutions, presents the exhibition-dossier The Last Caravaggio, dedicated to the Martyrdom of St. Ursula, which will be leaving the Gallerie d'Italia - Naples for this extraordinary occasion.

In the spirit of reciprocity, the room at the Gallerie d'Italia dedicated to Caravaggio's masterpiece will be hosting two important early paintings by Diego Velázquez for the Carmelites of Seville, from the London museum, which provide inspiration for reconsideration of the Sevillian master's brief stays in Naples.
