From 20 December 2023
Vitality of Time the exhibition dedicated to 20th century works in the Intesa Sanpaolo Group's collections, has been revamped.
The exhibition proposes a selection of 44 works, ranging from post-war to the contemporary period, highlighting the richness and complexity of a constantly evolving collection which has developed over time thanks both to the convergence of works belonging to the numerous banks that have been incorporated into the Group, acquisitions on the market and important donations. The initiative offers a new opportunity to get to know and appreciate a nucleus of eleven works belonging to the Luigi and Peppino Agrati Collection which has become part of the artistic heritage managed by Intesa Sanpaolo.
The artists exhibited, which will vary over time, are emblematic of a journey of contemporary invention and imagination. This journey, introduced by Bruce Nauman's neon, starts with monochrome as the fundamental theme of the 1950s and with Informal Art, via Italian Pop Art to Arte Povera and contemporary art. In the large corridor, works representative of various research trends related to colour, literary narrative and historical personalities revisited in a modern key, through to the new conceptual artists, are exhibited. This selection, curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, was created to share that Vitality of Time that only art encapsulates with the public.
