A cycle of collateral activities dedicated to the multidisciplinary exploration of themes related to the exhibition Naples in the time of Napoleon. Rebell and the light of the Gulf.
FIVE WOMEN FOR THE HISTORY OF NAPLES
Cycle of meetings
Among the collateral activities dedicated to the temporary exhibition Naples in the time of Napoleon. Rebell and the light of the Gulf, the cycle of meetings dedicated to women who knew how to claim a leading role in the century in which they lived and operated resumes, focusing particularly on two female figures of the Napoleonic age, Carolina Murat, a central figure also in the exhibition, and Eleonora Pimentel Fonseca.
Now in its second year, this initiative aims to acquaint a broader public with the research programme developed over the last thirty years that has improved our knowledge of women in the modern and contemporary age as well as the leading role that many of them played in the patronage of the arts and in the political and cultural life of the city of Naples.

SIGHT AND SOUND
Cycle of concerts
Project curated by the Alessandro Scarlatti Association
Three works on display as part of the exhibition will be the starting point for three concerts, entrusted to an excellent ensemble of mostly young or very young musicians. The connection between watching and listening will be “narrated” in short preambles entrusted to art historians and scholars. The project takes place within the framework of the long-standing partnership between the Scarlatti Association and Gallerie d'Italia.
