Gallerie d’Italia - Milano presents the temporary exhibition “Una collezione inattesa. La Nuova Arte degli Anni Sessanta e un Omaggio a Robert Rauschenberg”, curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, Associate Curator of the Bank’s Collections of Modern and Contemporary Art, which presents a tribute to the great American artist Robert Rauschenberg, and a brand new itinerary featuring contemporary art in the 1960s.
The exhibition, which comprises over 60 works, extends through the monumental rooms of the Gallerie d’Italia of Milan, taking the public on a rich and articulate journey through the great radical experimentation of the 1960s, culminating in the most significant developments of the decade after. The exhibition is enriched by intense exchanges between works that represent both European and American conceptual visual culture. Intesa Sanpaolo's Collections are once again revealed to the general public in an unexpected and surprising way, thanks also to the fundamental contribution of the Luigi and Peppino Agrati Collection, now part of the Bank's artistic heritage. A unique opportunity to explore the evolution of contemporary art, through a selection of rarely exhibited works.
