Gallerie Sonore is an innovative sound art project launched by the Gallerie d'Italia in collaboration with Davide Boosta Dileo.
Gallerie d'Italia and Davide Boosta Dileo, keyboard player and co-founder of Subsonica, are launching Gallerie Sonore (Sound Galleries), a sound art performance project to give voice, and music, to the Bank's collections.
Davide Dileo has been engaged in meticulous research work involving Intesa Sanpaolo collections and the Publifoto Archive, visiting the four branches of Gallerie d'Italia - Milan, Naples, Turin and Vicenza - and selecting some specific pictorial, sculptural and photographic works identified within a heritage of over 35,000 artworks and around seven million photographs, which became a real source of inspiration for the composition of four musical works, one dedicated to each branch - which will be presented to the public in four live concerts starting in the autumn. A real Tour, in which art and music come together and the artist interacts with the audience in a constant exchange.
Gallerie Sonore aims to create an immersive and transversal experience, linking the four Gallerie d'Italia venues under the same matrix of artistic interpretation via the medium of sound.
Initiatives in the context of SOUND, the project of Gallerie d'Italia for music.
The Gallerie Sonore planned events will take place on:
The concerts will start at 19.00.
