Intesa Sanpaolo will serve as partner for the exhibition “The Creators of Eternal Egypt. Scribes, Artisans, and Laborers in the Service of the Pharaoh” on display at the Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza from 22 December 2022 to 7 May 2023. The exhibition, curated by Christian Greco, Corinna Rossi, Cédric Gobeil and Paolo Marini, is the third and final of the internationally significant “Great Exhibitions in the Basilica” events, conceived by the City of Vicenza to promote the cultural riches of the city and supported by Intesa Sanpaolo.

Majestic statues, tombs and ornate sarcophagi, papyrus scrolls, bas-reliefs and stelae of extraordinary beauty allow us to reconstruct everyday life in Ancient Egypt. This wonderful exhibition takes visitors on a journey from the Basilica Palladiana to the monumental Thebes of 3,300 years ago, and then to the small village of Deir el-Medina, where draftsmen, scribes and artisans built and decorated the tombs of the Pharaohs in the nearby Valleys of the Kings and Queens. Alongside precious artefacts from the Museo Egizio and Louvre Museum, a series of spectacular multimedia installations, immersive experiences and 3D reproductions will expand the boundaries of material culture.
