Every year, the whole book production chain comes together at Lingotto Fiere in Turin: publishing houses, writers, booksellers, librarians, agents, illustrators, translators and many, many readers. For publishers, from large groups to independents, the Salone is the most important sales and presentation opportunity for new publications. For readers of all kinds, the Salone is a huge international festival of culture: 2,000 guests from all over the world, with a total of 1,200 events. Every year, the authors who have made the history of twentieth and twenty-first century literature come to the Salone.
This edition takes place from 18 to 22 May, with the backing of Intesa Sanpaolo as Main Partner.
“Attraverso lo specchio” (Through the looking glass) is the theme of the 25th edition, a fil rouge that will accompany readers through a rich programme of appointments, conversations, shows, readings and concerts.

Un libro tante scuole (One book many schools)
With a particular focus on spreading the culture of books and the value of reading, especially among the very young, Intesa Sanpaolo supports Un libro tante scuole, the national shared reading project that brings together students from all over Italy around a great novel, to encourage discussion in the school community on self-understanding and understanding the world and our times, through reading.
Between February and March, the four branches of Gallerie d'Italia hosted classes for the in-depth discussion of the novel “Sostiene Pereira” by Antonio Tabucchi.
The culminating moment of the great reading journey is scheduled to take place on Saturday 20 May 2023 at the Salone del Libro, when the choral event open to all the girls and boys involved in the project, will be attended by guests associated with the works of Antonio Tabucchi as speakers”
