From 13 November to 14 December 2025, with Art Safari at the Dacia-Romania Palace, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Romania, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Bucharest, presents the exhibition “The charm of antiquity. Art treasures from the Intesa Sanpaolo collections”.
Curated by Prof. Fernando Mazzocca, the project presents 36 works from the Intesa Sanpaolo art collections, usually on display at the Gallerie d'Italia.
The exhibition features several masterpieces, including Le peintre et son modèle en plein air (1963) by Pablo Picasso and Capriccio con chiesa gotica e laguna (c. 1720-1721) by Canaletto. Visitors are invited to explore one of the most fascinating themes in the history of art and aesthetics: the charm exerted down the centuries by Antiquity, considered to be an absolute model of ideal beauty. Masterpieces by Giovanni Paolo Panini, Jan Frans van Bloemen, Giovanni Ghisolfi, Pieter van Bredael, Carlo Labruzzi, Vincenzo Martinelli and Lord Mancini (Francesco Mancini) are also on display.
